Earlobe Rejuvenation with Juvéderm
Over time, the earlobes age—just as every other area of the body ages: they get less plump and sag, and earring holes become elongated, all of which can affect how our earrings look when we put them on. For some women, their earlobes have always been thin, making it hard to hold an earring in place—and this, too, becomes more pronounced with age. Earlobe rejuvenation, a simple procedure that uses Juvéderm® injections, can change this.
This simple in-office fix can correct the problem—enabling you to show off your earrings and feel sexy and young with your hair pulled back.
What is Juvéderm®?
Juvéderm® is hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body in connective tissue, cartilage and joint fluids, and in the fluid surrounding your eyes.
Juvéderm® can be injected into fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and skin that has lost—due to age—some of its collagen and elastin, as well as its volume. In our ears, Juvéderm® fills the deflated earlobe area, making the earlobe plumper and more youthful looking.
Juvéderm®: the Makeover for Earlobes
On the ears, I inject Juvéderm® into the earlobes to fill the deflated, sagging areas, giving the ears their natural, youthful shape back. Almost immediately after the injection, which is painless due to the numbing medication in the injection, my patients go back to wearing earrings without a problem.
Earlobe Rejuvenation: Before and After
“The entire procedure takes less than half an hour—and lasts, in most patients, up to 18 months.”
The Side Effects of Earlobe Rejuvenation
There are few to no side effects of earlobe rejuvenation (also known as earlobe enhancement or volumization). Some patients experience temporary redness and slight swelling at the injection site, while others may experience some minor bruising that goes away after a day or two. Still other patients experience no side effects at all.
My patients have been extremely happy with the results of the Earlobe Rejuvenation, with most recommending the procedure to friends.Back to blog
